Some run after their destiny, searching for what might excite

them. Others have understood from an early age where life

would lead them. German alpinist Michael "Michi" Wohlleben

is in the latter category. When his father took him to discover

the mountains, snuggled up in his rucksack, his father couldn't

have imagined that his protégé would become a global

mountaineering and climbing phenomenon. At the age of 27,

Michi still retains the fresh face and dreams of his childhood.

With several world firsts to his name, the enthusiasm first

felt on German trails and walls as a young boy has never

left him.

Certains courent après leur destinée, en quête de ce qui

pourrait les faire vibrer. D’autres ont compris très tôt où la

vie allait les mener. L’allemand Michaël « Michi » Wohlleben fait

partie de cette dernière catégorie. En lui faisant découvrir la

montagne, blottit dans son sac à dos, son papa ne s’imaginait

pas que son protégé deviendrait l’une des figures mondiales

de l’alpinisme et de l’escalade. À 27 ans, Michi a conservé son

visage et ses rêves d’enfant. Auteur de plusieurs premières

mondiales, il garde la fraîcheur des moments passés sur les

sentiers et les parois de son enfance allemande.
