Le laboratoire de l'extrême fête ses 40 ans
In 1976, the high mountain military group (GMHM) was set up in Chamonix. More
than a hundred men and women trained in the ways of the mountain. Experienced
mountaineers, eager for adventure and expeditions in France and around the world.
They have many firsts to their name (India, China, Baffin Island, etc.).
Guinea-pig mountaineers committed to research and development at high altitude on
autonomous expeditions. For the last 10 years, Julbo has been a privileged partner
of this life-size laboratory which does everything... except show its age!
En 1976, le groupe militaire de haute-montagne (GMHM) voyait le jour à Chamonix.
Plus d’une centaine d’hommes et de femmes formés à la montagne. Des alpinistes
chevronnés, avides d’aventures et d’expéditions en France et dans le monde. Ils ont
réalisé de nombreuses premières (Inde, Chine, Terre de Baffin…). Des alpinistes-cobayes
investis dans la recherche et le développement en haute-altitude et en autonomie.
Depuis 10 ans, Julbo est un partenaire privilégié de ce laboratoire grandeur nature qui
fait tout… sauf son âge !
