Comment caractériser cette épreuve ?
C'est un rendez-vous un peu atypique, car c'est un week-end
all inclusive. Tout est compris dans l'inscription. Les repas, les
transferts, l'hébergement : tout est pris en charge du début à la
fin. Pour qualifier l'Enduro Jura by Julbo, je dirais qu'il est intense,
authentique et convivial. Intense, car ce sont des parcours
soignés par François et son team, avec du niveau sur les tracés.
Authentique, car on est au cœur du Jura. Convivial, car il y a un
super esprit avec des repas tous ensemble.
What do you get out of organizing
a race like this?
Firstly, it's on our home patch. The village we start from is just a
few kilometers from Longchaumois. The Enduro Jura by Julbo is
a perfect fit with the image of our company. A welcoming event
that allows people from here to get together around a common
project. It's great to see it grow and attract passionate people
with a wide range of skills, working under the baton of François,
our conductor! And when we think of the standing ovation from
last year despite the terrible weather, it makes us really proud!
Qu'est-ce que cela vous apporte
d'organiser une telle course ?
Déjà, ça se passe chez nous. Le village de départ
est à quelques kilomètres de Longchaumois.
L'Enduro Jura by Julbo correspond parfaitement
à l'image de notre entreprise. Un événement
accueillant qui permet aux gens d'ici de se
rassembler autour d'un projet commun. C'est
beau de le voir grandir et de rassembler des
passionnés qui associent des compétences
diverses, sous la baguette de François, notre chef
d'orchestre ! Et quand on voit la standing ovation de l'an dernier
malgré le temps pourri, ça nous rend très fiers !
What's in the pipeline for edition 3?
We want to keep it a high-quality event by continuing to limit the
number of participants to 100 people. We made that choice from
the outset. Some may have questioned our approach, but with
Julbo, we preferred to keep it like that. In the first edition, we had
plenty of room. In the second, all the places were gone within a
week. For the third, they're likely to go even more quickly as word
gets around fast, even outside France, and we've already had
Swiss, German and English participants. In other words, the Julbo
spirit is highly exportable!
Quels sont les projets pour l'édition 3 ?
On veut rester une épreuve qualitative en limitant toujours les
participants à 100 personnes. C'était un choix dès le départ. Il a
pu être remis un peu en question, mais avec Julbo, on préférait
que ça reste ainsi. À la première édition, on avait de la place. À la
seconde, tout est parti en une semaine. Pour la troisième, ça risque
de partir encore plus vite, car le bouche-à-oreille fonctionne fort,
même à l'étranger, car on a eu des participants suisses, allemands
ou anglais. Bref, l'esprit Julbo s'exporte !

Grégory Thouverey has the job title of promoter France at Julbo.
This Nordic and backcountry skier, biker and mountaineer is responsible
for all Julbo sponsorship and event organization in France. Throughout
the year, he visits the events that Julbo sponsors such as the UTMB
®
,
High Five Festival, Roc d’Azur, PierraMenta and the French competitions
of the Nordic skiing World Cup. For Visions, he bears all on an event
that’s close to his heart.
Grégory Thouverey est promoteur France chez Julbo. Ce pratiquant
de ski nordique, de ski de rando, de vélo et de montagne s’occupe
de tout le sponsoring et l’événementiel Julbo pour la France. Toute
l’année, il va sur les événements que Julbo parraine comme l’UTMB
®
,
le High Five Festival, le Roc d’Azur, la Pierra Menta ou les
épreuves françaises de la Coupe du Monde de ski
nordique. Pour Visions, il se confie sur un événement qui
lui tient à cœur.
Tell us about the Enduro Jura
by Julbo.
When François Bailly-Maître came to see us to talk
about this project, we were up for it straightaway.
Firstly because he's a local guy and we're always
happy to invest here. And he's a Julbo athlete with
a fantastic mountain biking pedigree! So for the past two years
we've been the main sponsor and co-organizer of the event. From
a personal point of view, I'm heavily involved and attend every
meeting of the organization chaired by François.
Parle-nous de l'Enduro Jura by Julbo.
Quand François Bailly-Maître est venu nous voir pour parler de ce
projet, on a tout de suite été emballé. Déjà parce que c'est un gars
du pays et ça nous plait toujours de nous investir ici. En plus, c'est
un athlète Julbo avec un sacré palmarès en VTT ! Du coup, on
est partenaire-titre depuis 2 ans et coorganisateur de l'épreuve.
Personnellement, je m'implique un peu plus que le reste du team
Julbo, car je ne rate aucune réunion de l'association présidée par
François.
How would you describe the event?
It's a slightly unusual meet because it features an all-inclusive
weekend. Your registration fee covers meals, transfers and
accommodation: everything from start to finish. If I had to describe
the Enduro Jura by Julbo, I would say it's intense, authentic and
friendly. Intense because the routes are looked after by François
and his team guaranteeing high-tech trails. Authentic because we're
in the heart of the Jura. And friendly because there's a fantastic
atmosphere, with meals shared together.
