The Swiss guide is a legend among the
mountain fraternity: ice climbing, freeriding
and extreme skiing, he does them all over
the planet and is one of the best in the
world. Born in Zermatt, he climbed his first
4000m peak at the tender age of 11! He
won an ice climbing world cup event at just
16, and finished second in his first Freeride
World Tour. In other words, a giant talent.
Le guide suisse est une référence dans
le milieu : cascade de glace, freeride,
ski de pente raide, il exerce partout sur le
globe et fait partie des meilleurs mondiaux.
Né à Zermatt, il gravit son premier
4 000 m à 11 ans. Gagne une manche
de coupe du monde en cascade de glace
à 16 ans. Termine second de son premier
Freeride World. Bref un monstre de talent.
Naturally taking to skis as a little kid, the
Chamonix native then tried his hand at Alpine
skiing, ski cross and freeride in competition.
After that, he started taking his boards to
places that had never been skied, in the
company of Kilian Jornet or Jonathan Charlet.
His talent and humor inspired filmmaker
Sébastien Montaz-Rosset to shoot the
movie "Downside Up". He also worked as
a cameraman on Kilian Jornet’s Everest
attempt. He can do anything, and does it well.
Tombé tout petit dans le ski, le chamoniard
enchaîne ski alpin, ski cross et freeride en
compétition. Puis tourne ses spatules dans
des lieux encore jamais été skiés, avec Kilian
Jornet ou Jonathan Charlet. Son talent et
son humour ont inspiré à Sébastien Montaz
le film, « T’es pas bien là ? ». Il l’assistera
en tant que caméraman dans la tentative
de Kilian Jornet à l’Everest. Il sait tout faire,
et le fait bien.
A physically athletic former downhill ski
competitor, Philip works at the Institute
for Snow and Avalanche Research in Davos.
Selected from a group of ten amateur skiers
from all over Europe, he eats healthily, drinks
no alcohol and is truly passionate about steep
slope skiing. To the point of impressing his
White companions.
Ex-compétiteur en ski alpin au physique
athlétique, Philip travaille au centre de
recherche de neige et d’avalanches de Davos.
Sélectionné parmi dix skieurs amateurs venus
de toute l’Europe, il soigne son alimentation,
ne boit pas d’alcool et nourrit une forte passion
des pentes raides. Au point d’impressionner
ses compagnons de la White Session.
