He wasn’t yet 10 on his first 4000 meter ascent. Since then, he’s roamed the planet to satisfy his passion for the mountains.
The author of several new lines on ice, rock and mixed climbs, his versatility at the highest level makes him stand out from the
crowd. Now aged 36, Christophe talks about the art of vertical roaming: "Spending several days in the mountains, enchaining
summits. You’re left with long-lasting sensations that stand the test of time." Greenland, one of the rare places in the world
where there are still routes to be opened, was an obvious choice for him.
Il n’avait pas 10 ans à son premier 4 000 mètres. Depuis, il sillonne la surface de la planète pour assouvir sa passion pour la
montagne. Auteur de plusieurs ouvertures de lignes aussi bien en glace, en rocher, qu’en mixte, sa polyvalence dans le haut
niveau marque sa différence. À 36 ans, Christophe parle d’itinérance verticale : « Passer plusieurs jours en montagne, enchaîner
les sommets. Ce sont des sensations durables, inscrites dans le temps ». Pour lui le Groenland, un des rares endroits où il reste
des lignes à ouvrir, sonnait comme une évidence.
