From Zermatt, people ponder this imposing and savage pyramid with a mixture
of fear and admiration. The north face was one of the last bastions to succumb
to the great mountaineers. Géraldine completed the tricky ascent from the Hörnli
ridge then launched herself from 4,478m on the east face. She wheeled around
the Matterhorn and landed at the foot of the north face. "It's the best possible
jump I could have opened in my life!" exclaims Géraldine.
Depuis Zermatt, on observe avec crainte et admiration cette pyramide imposante
et sauvage. La face Nord de ce pic, reconnaissable entre mille, est l’un des derniers
bastions tombés sous les assauts des grands alpinistes. Géraldine accomplit la
délicate ascension depuis l'arête du Hörnli puis s’élance des 4 478 m de la face Est.
Elle tournoie autour du Matterhorn et se pose au pied de la face Nord. "C'est le plus
beau saut que je pouvais ouvrir de ma vie !" raconte Géraldine.
