Neither ice nor rock can resist her. Ines Papert was the first to freeclimb "Ohne Rauch
stirbst du auch" (you also die without smoke). On 17 August 2014, the 8a wall was
willing to give in to the irresistible German. Her philosophy on the summits? Alpine
style. Speed, fluid movement, minimalism, ultra-precision. "The North face of Cima
Grande doesn't give in easily," says the smiling climber. "My movements had to be
absolutely perfect. Up there, there's no room for half measures."
Ni la glace ni le roc ne lui résistent. Inès Papert a été la première à réaliser
l’ascension en libre de "Ohne Rauch stirbst du auch" (on meurt aussi sans fumée).
Le 17 août 2014, ce véritable mur en 8a était prêt à céder aux irrésistibles assauts
de l’Allemande. Son fil rouge sur les sommets ? Le style alpin. Rapidité, fluidité,
minimalisme, ultra précision. "La face Nord de Cima Grande ne s’offre pas
facilement" commente la souriante grimpeuse. "Mes mouvements ne pouvaient
qu’être d’une perfection absolue. Là-haut, aucun espace pour l’approximatif."
